I use Stone Coat Art Resin on all my surfaces that will not be in direct contact with food. I will sometimes offer products that do come in contact with food and I use the same resin for that as well.
Below are the product facts.
- This product does not release any taste or smell into the food.
- Human health is not endangered if food is consumed after contact with this material.
- The material releases no or very few components into the food.
- Stone Coat Art Resin is heat resistant, scratch resistant, water resistant and food safe.
Yes and yes!! According to Stone Coat Countertops website at www.stonecoatcreations.com Stone Coat Art Resin is designed to create art in all its forms. Its a coating resin which has a very high quality yellowing filter. It is officially FDA APPROVED to be a food safe resin.
According to Stone Coat Countertops website at www.stonecoatcreations.com the heat resistance for the resin is +500 degrees fahreinheit. However it is not recommended to take a frying pan directly from the stove and place it directly onto your product, it is recommended to move the food to another dish or bowl and then place that dish or bowl onto the hot plate.
The answer to this will vary depending on if the piece is already finished or not. I like to offer my pieces for sale as soon as the paint is dry, which means the piece may not be finished with resin at that time and will need to either be finished with resin or is drying at this time.
With that being in mind, if the piece is already finished and dried it will be able to ship immediately, if it is not and needs to be finished it can take up to 2 weeks for the resin to properly dry. Please note: The resin will continue to cure for the next 2-3 weeks.
The process of creating a commissioned piece from start to finish is a lengthy process. It is highly recommended that if you need a piece by a certain time frame to please let me know in the commission request form. The paint must dry before the resin is applied to finish the piece and this process can take about 3-4 weeks from start to finish and ready to ship. This will ensure the product is dry enough to package and ship. Please note: The resin will continue to cure for the next 1-2 weeks.
Possibly, this question would be best discussed during a commission email.
Yes, unless during the commission request email you specifically request that your order not be finished with resin. However it is highly recommended to finish your piece with resin for durability and sealing purposes, it also brings back the shine of the paints!
This is an email you will receive from myself after I have reviewed your commission request form. During this email I will send you a confirmation of all details of the commission as well as any requests you have made in the request form.
Please note: If ANY changes need to be made to your order they need to be made at this time BEFORE the commission invoice is sent.
Yes! It is your piece and I want you to love it. So please feel free to make it your own!

Possibly, this can be and most likely will be treated as a special request commission. Be sure that if you need the finished product/s by a specified time that you include that information and the date in the commission request form.
Yes, you may request as many items or sets of products as you wish. However please make separate requests for different items/products. This is due to different surfaces, different pour styles and color choices.
For Example:
1 set of coasters (1 request)
1 set of hot plates (1 request)
2 canvases (2 requests)
No, this is offered as an option ONLY and not required.
As mentioned in the options tab found in the main menu, coaster and hot plate sets are offered from 4 to 10 coasters or sets per order. Additional numbers can be ordered and this will need to be discussed during the commission consultation email.
Due to the nature of my work and the time that it takes to make it custom I have a set payment policy.
If you have a commissioned piece I require:
50% at the time the commission invoice is sent after all commission details are discussed during the commission email. This is to purchase the needed items to complete the commissioned order. The payment must be made before I begin on your order.
50% plus shipping costs at the time the shipping invoice is sent.
Welcome! Check to see if I have any limited editions or special promotions available now!
